Ex Lagos City Stars player at the 2017 May Madness Tournament of the Continental Basketball League has threatened to showcase his repertoire of skills that made him emerge as the Most Valuable Player of the tournament. Jordin Mayes helped the Lagos City Stars to emerge as champions of the 2017 May Madness Tournament. The CBL Star will be cutting his teeth with the Ugandan National Team in the qualifiers in Lagos.
The sleek guard currently plays with the Silverbacks at an Invitational Tournament in Istanbul the capital city of Turkey.
Jordin Mayes who also played for Ugandan champions City Oilers at the FIBA Africa Champions Cup last year was excited to be called up to represent the National Team of Uganda in this month’s window of the World Cup Qualifiers to be hosted by Nigeria at the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos. The stadium is already wearing a new look for the tournament which promises to be full of excitement, fun and display of basketball dexterity by the teams.
Nigeria is currently on top of Group B having been undefeated in the February Window in Mali. They are followed by Uganda, Mali and Rwanda in that order.
Jordin Mayes will be playing against fellow CBL Africa and Ex-Lagos Warriors guard, Bryant Mbamalu in Lagos.
